What you can do

• Type a word or phrase, record audio, add an image, or share text from another app.
• Add your own meaning, examples and notes.
• Review with a spaced-repetition style scheduler that runs on your device.
• Get optional recall cards when you unlock your phone or open selected apps.
• Rate each card: Again, Hard, Good, Easy.
• Organize your library with 10 built-in card types plus custom types.
• Search, filter and group similar items.
• Listen with text-to-speech.
• Import and export .sonje library packs.
• Use the interface in Haitian Creole, English, French or Spanish.

Private by design

• Your cards, notes, audio, images and study history stay on your device.
• No ads.
• No cloud sync of your learning data.
• Crash reports (Sentry) help us fix bugs; your cards are never sent.
• Online features are optional.

Optional online library

Teachers can publish libraries and share access codes. Students can browse, download and study them offline. Contact with teachers happens through WhatsApp.

Sonje does not process payments. Any arrangement between a teacher and a student happens outside the app.
